Jobvite application status meanings
Applied / Received
Your application has been submitted. No human has reviewed it yet. This is the default entry state.
Reviewed
A recruiter has looked at your application and assessed your fit. Being "Reviewed" without being moved to "Declined" is a neutral-to-positive signal — it means you weren't immediately filtered out.
Phone Screen / Recruiter Screen Scheduled
You've been selected for an initial recruiter call. If this status appears without contact, check your email (including spam) and look for a calendar invite or a message from a jobvite.com address.
Hiring Manager Review
Your application or recruiter screen summary has been forwarded to the hiring manager. This is a meaningful positive signal — it means you've passed the recruiter filter.
Interview
You're in active interview rounds. Jobvite-using companies typically run 2–4 interview rounds. The status may stay as "Interview" throughout all rounds.
Offer
An offer has been extended. Expect direct contact from the recruiter with compensation details.
Hired
Offer accepted and hire recorded.
Declined / Not a Fit
Your application has been removed from consideration. Jobvite typically sends an automated rejection email when this is set, and mid-market companies on Jobvite generally notify candidates faster than enterprise ATS users.
Checking your Jobvite status
